Privacy, explained plainly

Your job search is yours.

Applynza is built to keep your application tracker on your device. Here is exactly what the extension accesses, what it stores, and when information can leave your browser.

Last updated August 1, 2026

01

The short version

Applynza does not require an account, does not include advertising or analytics, and does not sell your information. Saved jobs, notes, statuses, reminders, preferences, and theme settings are kept in your browser's local extension storage.

You decide when a job is detected and saved. You can export your data or clear it from the extension's Settings screen.

02

What Applynza reads

When you use the extension on a job page, it reads the visible job information needed to identify a posting: title, company, location, salary, employment type, workplace type, description, application URL, and related job metadata.

On supported pages, the extension can inspect the active tab to detect those details. It does not collect passwords, cookies, private messages, or unrelated browsing content.

03

What stays local

Your workspace

Saved applications, notes, statuses, reminders, timestamps, and dashboard preferences.

Your controls

Export and restore tools work with local JSON backups. Clearing storage removes the extension data on this browser.

04

Optional analysis

Some builds can be configured with an AI job-analysis endpoint. If that option is enabled and you use it, Applynza sends the job page URL in a request to that configured service so it can return structured job details.

This is separate from local saving. The extension does not silently send every page or every saved job. Review the service's own privacy terms before enabling or using it.

05

Permissions

activeTab

Access the tab you are actively using when detection is requested.

scripting

Run the detector needed to read job details on supported pages.

sidePanel

Show the workspace beside your browser tab.

storage

Save your tracker data locally in the browser.

host access

Allow detection to run on job pages across HTTP and HTTPS sites. Applynza uses this access for job-related page content only.

Your choices

You stay in control.

Use Settings inside the dashboard to see local storage usage, export a backup, or clear locally stored data. Removing the extension also removes its browser storage according to your browser's extension data rules.
